What I discovered changed everything — that beneath every guarded exterior is someone waiting to exhale. Someone who just needs a safe place to finally set it down.
I’ve had a Vietnam veteran tell me things he’d never told another soul. Not because of anything I did. Simply because he felt safe.
That’s my work. Creating safety. Not just for veterans — for anyone who has learned to hide.
